number, breed, species and mark of the eggs or day-old poultry, 2) Pedigree certificate shall accompany the imported eggs or poultry for breeding purpose on arrival. 3) The country of origin is always free from Avian Influenza. 4) The country/region/zone of origin has been free from Newcastle Disease, Parvovirus Infection, Avian Encephalitis, Duck Plaque, Salmonellosis (Salmonella typhimurium and S. enteritidis). 5) The hatching eggs or day-old poultry must come from premises in which avian diseases are under control. The day-old poultry are healthy, fit to travel, and free from signs of any infectious and contagious diseases including ectoparasitism at the time of export. 6) The hatching eggs or day-old poultry must originate from an officially accredited pullorum-free flock. 7) An officially accredited pullorum-free flock means the farm in which all poultry over 4 (four) months of age are submitted to two consecutive blood tests, 21 (twenty-one) days apart, with negative results. Random sampling should be carried out thereafter to ensure the pullorum-free state. Bacterial culture for Salmonella pullorum, where needed, should be attempted by using approved methods or the methods recommended by the OIE. International Animal Health Code. 8) During the 6 (six) months immediately prior to export, the premises of origin must be free from clinical signs or other evidence of:- Newcastle Disease, Infectious Bursal Disease (Gumboro), Infectious Bronchitis, Avian Encephalomyelitis, Egg Drop Syndrome'76, Mycoplasmosis (infection with Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma synoviae), Marek's Disease, Parvovirus Infection, Viral Arthritis, Infectious Anemia, Fowl Cholera, Salmonellosis and Pullorum Disease. In addition for duck, Duck Virus Hepatitis, Duck Virus Enteritis, Parvovirus Infection, Anatipestifer Infection (New Duck Syndrome) and Ornithosis are included in the farm of origin freedom from diseases.. The hatching eggs or poultry have not come in contact or been exposed to any of these diseases. 9) The hatching eggs or day-old poultry must come from a hatchery of which the management, hygiene and disease security procedures have been approved by an authorized veterinary official, and according to the relavant criteria laid down in the OIE International Animal Health Code. 10) The hatching incubator must be disinfected and fumigated prior to set and hatch. Only the fumigated eggs from a Pullorum free - flock shall be introduced and hatched in the hatching incubator. 11) The day-old poultry to be exported to Thailand must be derived from the parent flocks continuously resident in the exporting country and hatched in the premises approved for export to Thailand. 12) The hatching egg or day-old poultry shall be packed directly from the incubator into newly unused boxes for export and have no contact with any eggs, poultry or other birds not similar health status. 13) The day-old poultry are subjected to quarantine at approved premises for a period of at least 30 (thirty) days upon arrival, during which they shall be submitted to tests and/or treatments deemed necessary. The importer/owner shall be fully charged for the incurred expenses. 14)
Failure to follow the import procedures may result in returning the
poultry/day-old poultry to the country of origin or destroying without
compensation.
